The Betsey Trotwood
56 Farringdon Road, London EC1R 3BL
Three storeys tall and well over a century old, The Betsey Trotwood is a classic Victorian pub in Clerkenwell – and the local home of live entertainment.
The pub serves great food and drink (real ales, wines and superb spirits make this one of the best-stocked bars in Clerkenwell), but it’s entertainment that tops the bill, with an acoustic room upstairs and a cellar bar downstairs hosting an eclectic range of live shows.
There’s comedy every Monday night, plus a monthly appearance from Night Howls Comedy Club and even occasional visits from well-known names like Henning Wehn and Jerry Sadowitz. There’s poetry and drama too, while live music comes from a clutch of up-and-coming bands all set to make it big…
