Erin Costelo Announces The US Release Of Her Award Winning Album, “Down Below, The Status Quo“ On Compass Records — Embarks On Us Tour With Shannon McNally!

Legendary Nashville label, Compass Records, will release Erin Costelo’s award winning album, Down Below, The Status Quo, in the United States on March 2, 2018. The release will be supported by a US tour in March, through select cities in the Southeastern and Midwestern United States, a double bill, with Compass artist Shannon McNally.

Down Below, The Status Quo, has been released, physically and digitally, in Canada (Pheromone) and in Europe (Seayou). Now, with distribution via Compass Records secured, the record will be distributed and promoted to radio, print, spotify and media throughout the United States.

The US tour kicks off in Lexington KY March 21, and ends in Nashville TN, on March 31st, playing The Family Wash. The tour stops in major US cities in seven states, with shows in Washington DC, Roanoke VA, Charlotte, NC and more. Along the tour route, Compass and the team will leverage their contacts to target press, radio interviews/in-studio visits and in-store opportunities.

Released in Canada in March of 2016, Down Below, The Status Quo has been described as “striking, powerful and full of depth and range” by Exclaim Magazine.

Awarded the 2017 East Coast Music Award for R&B/Soul Album of the Year, and the Music Nova Scotia Award for Solo Recording of the Year, Down Below, The Status Quo garnered a total of 12 nominations in Erin’s home region of Canada. The album was a runner up for Folk Music Ontario’s 2017 Recording of the Year Award, sponsored by ACTRA RACS (Recording Artists’ Collecting Society), which recognises the overall artistic performance of a recording artist in the Folk/Roots/Blues genre. Erin was awarded 2017 Producer of the Year by Music Nova Scotia for the record.

The album received National airplay and charted across Canada on !earshot national charts, including the National Top 50, and CBC’s Radio 2 Top 20 Countdown. The record garnered national airplay on CBC programs, including Radio One shows Mainstreet Halifax, The East Coast Music Hour, CBC q, along with national radio feature shows and stations at the commercial level, including monitored reporters such as Q104 in Halifax and Stingray Digital.

Erin will attend Folk Alliance International in Kansas City, MO Feb 14-18, as an official showcasing artist, and will be performing showcases as part of ECMAs “Canadian Music, East Coast Style,” Folk Music Canada and Mavens Music.
